The food was freshly prepared, and the service was quick. The owner was very friendly, which we really appreciated in NYC! The prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food was outstanding. If you’re within five blocks and looking for a quick breakfast to kickstart your day, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely return on our next trip! Food: 5/5

Mama Jo is an absolute gem! Even if the food weren't amazing, her lovely personality would make the visit worthwhile—but thankfully, it is delicious! I ordered the Weekly Special, which is a hearty meal at a great price. My favorite part was the cinnamon donut. She also makes fun videos of her customers, which you can find on her Instagram!

Gotta love Mama Jo’s cart. Mama Jo is so friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Is it the best breakfast sandwich you will have? The egg and cheese on a roll tasted like any other one I have had but it is served with love. The weekly special is a great deal. It is a breakfast sandwich, donut, and juice for $7. What a deal. I will come back when in the area. Nice gem on the east side.
