Kare Thai - New York

I find it difficult to give this restaurant three or four stars because it is in my neighborhood, but the quality of the food varies. I typically order the Pad Thai and a couple of curry dishes from here, and sometimes they are great, but other times they are not. They used to have delicious peanut dumplings, but they stopped serving them a while ago. The prices have increased slightly, but since it is in my neighborhood, I try to support local businesses.

Trust me, when you see a photo like this, it means we were too busy enjoying the food to stop and take a picture. This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in New York. The service is fantastic, and the curry sauce is amazing. You can choose between spicy or non-spicy options, and the Khao Soy Chicken (made with real slow-cooked chicken, not fake veggie chicken) and Crab Meat Fried Rice are absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The staff at this restaurant are also fantastic.

I truly think that this is the top Thai restaurant in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. The flavors are amazing and the spice levels are just right. My husband and I have never been let down by our takeout orders. I highly suggest trying the Tofu Drunken Noodle (it has delicious spice and Thai basil flavor) and the Red Curry with chicken. The Pad See Eiw is also tasty. If you like tofu, theirs is perfectly crispy and delicious - I can't get enough of it.

All of the flavors are good and have depth. The chive pancakes are very petite, don?t expect the circular ones. They serve the square ones here, and they have a good texture. Oh also the lemon Thai was really good

Stopped by here before the Nutcracker ballet. Good service and yummy curry. It was pretty quiet when we went but they seemed to be pumping out takeaway orders. We got the dumpling combo which includes chicken, crab and vegetable dumplings! The boiled ones were better than the fried. For mains we had the Panang curry crispy duck. Curry was delicious, would recommended. Crispy duck was ehhhh, it was ok! Wouldn?t recommend it. All in all, good service and yum food!
