Contribuiți la feedbackI've had vegetarian and omakase before but never together and this place was an experience. All the tables were nicely spaced out and each dish was explained. You can taste each and every ingredients that they use. Luckily I was able to try this place before they close their doors for good.
Considering the cost of the produce, the food is not overly priced; and it is in line with the other Shojin Ryori restaurants around Kyoto. The cuisine is absolutely mind blowing in flavor!
I did not expect this. I 'm as omnivore as you can get, and I would love to come back and try their next menus. Don 't skip this place because it has vegan in its description, it is good, quality, traditional, not processed, Japanese cuisine, with rich flavors, combination of textures, and those unicorn dishes where every different bite is unlike the other. The omakase tasting menu is $120 tax tip. It starts with delicate dishes, and slowly becomes richer, more complex, and aggressive in a good way. You won 't go hungry, this is a lot of food. Now I need for some out of town vegans friends to visit, just so I 'll have an excuse to come back here.
One of the best vegan restaurants that I have been to. The seasonal variations accompanied by the alternating chill and hot dishes brought shocks to your palates. The menu started off with a fresh tomato with hints of yuzu flavor that drove the summer heat away. Every grilled dish was embodied with strong wood flavor that elevated the freshness and juiciness of summer vegetables. 10/10 would recommend.
Amazing Japanese Shojin cuisine that you will dream about for months. Came here almost one year ago and still think about our meal. Everything was perfect, beautiful, and balanced The service was outstanding. The teas were phenomenal. I would eat here every day if I could.
