On a positive note, the water and bread staff were very attentive, which was nice to see. The complimentary starters provided by the restaurant, aside from the parmesan cheese, consisted of soggy or stale bread and fried zucchini cooked in old oil that tasted like fish. As an Italian native, I was skeptical of the Italian accents of some of the staff. It seemed like they were putting on a show with a fake accent rather than speaking authentically. Although I did not address this issue at the time, I wish I had to confirm my suspicions. Overall, I would not recommend dining at Il Mulino. I believe that the restaurant is relying on its name and reputation rather than providing a quality product and ambiance.

Il Mulino consistently sets a very high standard for fine dining. We have been loyal customers for almost 30 years, and each visit outdoes the last. Claudio, Louis, and the entire team work hard to make you feel like family. The food is excellent and the service is exceptional. Stopped in for random to-go order. Got some martinis while waiting for our food and the service was exceptional. They serve homemade truffle chips while you wait. The to-go orders came in CUSTOM REUSABLE BAGS. Very happy with what we’ve seen so far (we did not eat our food in the restaurant) Very quaint, upscale hidden gem that will know you by name. Highly recommend!

Had the most amazing dining experience here. Claudio his staff couldn’t have done better. Exemplary service food. There is no ‘dress code’ but we (myself 2 daughters) did ‘dress up’ as it was a special occasion. Thank you Il Mulino.

Food was inexplicably poor, the eggplant parm appetizer tasteless and the linguine in the frutti di mari overcooked to mush. The garlic bread and the veal chop were excellent though, as was the amazing service and atmosphere. Incredibly lucky to get a table here. Worth a visit but I would suggest sticking to the old boy food like steaks and chops.
