High Street on Hudson - New York

Went there for lunch on a busy Saturday...both service and food were excellent. Tuna tartar appetizer, smoked salmon Eggs Benedict and fish tacos were delicious and portions were generous.

The service was spot on. We both had the Amish chicken plate for dinner. Moist, flavorful and delicious. And a proper portion size. Not big, not small. Great martini. I hadn't been here for awhile. I'll be back way more often.

Randomly walked in on a Saturday night and we were accomodated for without a reservation. The place fills up but didn't really get packed. The ambience is a star here and gives a great NYC dinner vibe that doesn't break the bank. We started with an order of the guacamole which was a very generous portion! It could definitely serve 3-4 people. The spicy chicken sandwich was just ok and the sweet potato fries and old bay fries tasted good, but could use more time in the fryer. Both were soggy. The star of the night was the clam chowder. At $18, I asked myself what kind of clam chowder costs that much? We were blown away!! The soup gives 8 whole clams with a rich delicious broth. Every bite literally felt like Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas by the fireplace. I would recommend this place simply for the clam chowder. The clam chowder is the sole reason for the 4 star rating! Will definitely come back for this in the future lol

Very good food and great value. Had several appetizers including the lobster tail reasonably priced for their size and the watermelon salad. Both excellent. Also had the shrimp tacos simply made but very good. The service was very attentive. It's hard to find a lot of reasonably priced dining options in the West Village but have definitely added this one to my list.

Very nice place in the West Village.When we arrived around 3:40pm, we didn't realize the kitchen would be closing in 20 minutes. They kindly informed us of this, asked if it was ok and promptly accommodated us.Food was delicious and cooked exactly as ordered (1 rare cheese burger and 1 medium rare cheese burger) French fries (Old Bay) we're yummy and not greasy at all. Guac and chips were very good.Would definitely recommend!
