Excellent food and professional service. Certainly a great meal.

The Indian food is excellent. The special dinner offers a great variety and comes in a generous portion.

Dawat is in transition. The wait staff is all new and the bar was closed with no liquor license yet. Flowers on the table were dead. The food was the same as always and the menu was the same as it has been for years, which is good. So it is not as if it is a brand new restaurant, just a new staff who need to work out some kinks. Hopefully it soon will be back to the 5-star status we were used to over the years.

The quality of the food has declined from what it once was, and the selection has become more limited. The decor in the room appears worn out, and the staff seems lacking in enthusiasm. It's just a mere shadow of its former self.

Comically poor service. I started out angry, but then it was literally funny. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. It was the longest 1-course meal of my life.
