Contribuiți la feedbackNot the freshest macaron’s i’ve had, but they tasted really good, and they have a great selection of different flavors, great service
Great location, great service. Macaroons were too chewy, the cookie didn’t gently crack as I would have liked. Maybe they were stored too cold? I don’t know. Good flavor, though. Also had the Chicken sandwich (delicious) and the Norwegian sandwich (nothing special). Prices are what to be expected of the location.
I visited Macaron Cafe because I won a giveaway for Valentine's Day! The staff were very friendly and promptly brought over the manager, who was also very nice and handed me my gift. This was my second time trying a full box of macarons from this place, and I absolutely loved them! My favorites are always the classic, Birthday Cake, Matcha, RV, and White Chocolate—delicious! I really appreciate the texture of their macarons, with a chewy interior and a light, crispy shell.
Here's a little interesting fact about macarons: A macaroon is a small cookie that is usually made from ground almonds, though it can also include coconut or other nuts, and sometimes even potato. They are made with sugar and may have additional flavorings like honey, vanilla, spices, food coloring, glace cherries, jam, or even a chocolate coating. Culinary historians trace the origins of macaroons back to an Italian monastery in the 8th or 9th century. The monks eventually made their way to France in 1533, bringing along pastry chefs from Catherine de Medici’s kitchen. Recipes for macaroons (which may also be spelled 'mackaroon', 'maccaroon', or 'mackaroom') have been documented in cookbooks since at least 1725.
I visited from Florida, and this place was incredible! The top three flavors were Rose Lychee, Earl Grey, and Honey Lavender.
