The dumplings were absolutely delightful, and I can tell you that my fiancée is a big fan of them. We really enjoyed our time there—warm tea was provided for free, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We left feeling very satisfied, and our bill was under $40, which is amazing! We will definitely be back.
For our main courses, we chose from the Lunch Special menu, selecting the Chicken Lo Mein Fun ($8.50) with Hot and Sour Soup, and also added Lamb in Garlic Sauce with a Spring Roll on the side. Both dishes were outstanding. The "chicken" in our Lo Mein was actually fried tofu, which was the best tofu we have ever tasted—full of flavor and, refreshingly, it didn’t have that typical cardboard texture! The lamb dish was equally impressive; the pieces of lamb seemed to be replicated with soy, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The service was excellent, and our food arrived quickly. Overall, Bodhi is one of the most reasonably priced vegetarian restaurants I have experienced in Manhattan. We will definitely return with friends and family, and I highly recommend this place to vegetarians, newly converted vegetarians, and vegans alike!
One of my all-time favorite restaurants in New York City! It's truly a vegan paradise, especially for lovers of Chinese cuisine—who doesn’t enjoy that? Every time I visit, I try something new, but I have to say my favorite dish is the lemon chicken. It's a vegan fried lemon chicken drizzled with a deliciously sweet lemon sauce that I can hardly put into words! And don't get me started on the buns—all of them are fantastic! During my last visit, I tried the whole wheat buns, and they were amazing! As for the wonton soup, it’s likely the best I've ever had in my life. The service is exceptional; the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. This place is my go-to! You definitely need to check it out!
Always amazing!!! This was my first time trying the sweet and sour chicken, and it might just be my new favorite! It was so crispy and full of flavor. The pork buns are consistently incredible. The bubble tea was decent, but I found it a bit strange that they used regular tapioca pearls in the fruit tea (which has no milk).
The dim sum here is absolutely delightful, comparable to authentic meat dishes. Their lunch specials are fantastic value for money. The baked vegetable meat bun is definitely a standout! Additionally, the steamed Cantonese dumplings and pan-fried turnip cakes have a wonderfully traditional flavor!
