AYZA Wine Chocolate Bar West Village

The place is small and can get pretty loud depending on the time you go. Great food great drinks overall a great experience.

My partner and I were very disappointed with the experience. This was our first time at the location. The place was super crammed with tables so close to each other that you had no privacy to talk. The waiter(s) were slow and inattentive. The food was good and the chocolate martini was yummy. Overall, I would not recommend this location at all.

If I were only rating the fondue and martinis, I'd give this place 5 stars. I'd say stay away from the entrees- they were pretty blasé. The small plates were quite good, however. I'll def come back for drinks and dessert!

I made a reservation for the Romantic Dinner Special, which was very easy to do, and the service we got was excellent. The wine list is impeccable, the food is delicious, the servers are attentive and nice, and the FREE included truffles were a big hit. The added ambiance of rose petals and a tall candle were also lovely and made our window seat much cozier. I would highly recommend it for anyone trying to treat their SO, but be aware you're definitely going to pay for it.

If you're looking to hang out with friends for brunch, lunch, or a night out on any regular day, then this place is a good choice. However, for special occasions like Valentine's Day or birthdays, it may not be the best option. The Midtown location is great for couples celebrating any event, with a better view. My husband and I had a Valentine's dinner there once and were disappointed with the limited choices on the expensive fixed menu ($72 per person). The drinks at both locations are tasty though. We felt a bit crowded and cramped, like being in a cafeteria, but I suggest requesting a booth or window seat if possible, especially if you've been to either location before.
