It appears that the owners have opted to adopt the more casual atmosphere of other Inwood restaurants. This is problematic because when you’re trying to enjoy a $26 sea bass entrée (which, to be fair, is well-prepared), you would hope to do so in a reasonably pleasant environment. Instead of the serene dining experience we sought, we found ourselves in a disruptive setting. If you don’t mind enjoying high-quality Italian food in yet another loud Inwood restaurant, then by all means, visit Anchor Heights. However, my wife and I will be seeking other options moving forward. I’m sorry to say, Anchor Heights is no longer the place for us. If we want Italian cuisine, we'll head to Arthur Avenue instead.
I absolutely love this restaurant and visit as often as possible. The food is delicious, and their sangria is the best I've ever had. However, I went there this past Sunday and was disappointed by the loud music—they were playing club tunes that felt more suited for a bar. I enjoy being able to hear the people I’m dining with. I really hope they don’t turn into one of those places that have overly loud music and hookahs. I truly appreciate the food here and would hate to see this place change.
Service was great. Staff was very attentive and food tasted great.
The food was amazing as always. Love the atmosphere. The restaurant has the feel of dining among friends. Would definitely recommend.
