Ajisai Japanese Restaurant - New York

This is the hands below the best sushi in hell kitchen....istually in all nyc!

Eating was at best mediocre. it is very cheap, but we will not go back.

The restaurant is clean and decor inviting. The sushi was very good and great presentation with a reasonable price. The service was very lackluster. There were two tables occupied when I arrived around 5 on a Sunday night. The hostess seemed annoyed I had a reservation for only one. The server took my order, delivered my order and cleared my plates. Very transactional and never once asked me how my meal was. I could have gotten takeout and sat at home for the lack of warmth. Too many options at other restaurants to go back. I’m a huge sushi fan and this is a five minute walk from my house. Bummer you blew an opportunity to just be nice and even a little bit caring.

This is our favorite sushi restaurant in all of New York. The food is PHENOMENAL!!! We eat here a few times a month....and we can't wait to go back again. Service is great and the price is excellent for the quality. I would give them 100 stars if I could....we Highly recommend Ajisai.

Restaurant is declining. Sushi was just OK. Decor is getting really old and beat up. I think I'll be looking for a new sushi place around Times Sq in the future.
