Contribuiți la feedbackThe young hostess who also waited on us was friendly and bent over backward to make certain we were comfortable and understood the menu. Her coworker, briefly our waiter, left us to struggle. The food was just passable. The soup was watery and lacked taste and most of the other dishes were not very interesting either. An exception was a cauliflower entreé which was quite nice. Not terrible; just not the kind of food that makes you want to hurry back.
If you are a vegan you will feel like you are back in India. Everything was perfectly spiced not too hot. It would be if they could offer one or two non vegan entrees. NA
I celebrated my birthday here last Sunday. the ambiente is very cozy that complements the snowy manhattan at night. eating was delicious and not as spicy as most Indian cuisine! I make reservations as it looks as if the place in the night is very busy.
We went back on Saturday to lunch on this place with different groups of friends. the first time we found the service awfully slow, but the appetizers were good. main course was too spicy, slow to arrive and honestly we were not hungry with the min gao between appetizers and main course. when we think it's a goodbye, we tried to taste some of the appetizers we liked at our first visit. terrible mistake! two of the five things that we wanted was not available that the day, the service was even slower in this time around and to complete it, articles that we ordered never arrived (we were a party of repeated assurances that the food came, finally came the manager and said we had not ordered dishes that we waited for. at this point, it was only a case that we cut out and pull out losses. but wait, within a minute of it, the missing (late) courts came (cold) leaving the theory of manager that we had not ordered wrong. this was only a few minutes after the half of the people had served on our table and after she had waited nicely, this had wrapped up lunch. long story short: there is a reason why this place is empty even after an amazing location. go only when they have time tones on their hand and can manage the only person running around to order.
We enjoyed the food very beautiful combination of street food, dhosas, windshield wiper, jain kitchen, eating from several regions indiens, almost all very good. high points were the dhosas, Sag-Schild-Schilder, a Manchurian-Cauliflower (a merchandiseizer), and others. I'm going back.
