Contribuiți la feedbackI really enjoyed the atmosphere at this place. The food is still fairly priced, which is a plus. The bartender was absolutely fantastic—if only I could remember her name to give her a proper shout-out. She was working on Tuesday the 23rd, so hopefully that helps identify her. She was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. This has definitely become my favorite bar in New Westminster.
I eagerly watched from across the bar as my wings made their way to me, and the moment that basket was set down in front of me, I dove right in, savoring every succulent hot wing. From the very first bite, I was thrilled with the flavor. While I encountered the occasional dry wing, the generous serving of hot sauce quickly made me forget that. There were some impressively large wings and drumsticks mixed in with a few smaller ones, but overall, the quality and size of the wings were exceptional for such an affordable price. **Rating System:** 1: Great 2: Good 3: Not Bad 4: Meh 5: Bad **My Meal:** 24 Hot Wings, Coors Light **Hot Wings:** 2 **Beer:** 4 **Service:** 4 **Comments:** I absolutely loved the wings; they took me back to the good old days of grabbing wings at the pub when they were just 10 cents each. While there were a few dry wings, the variety of sizes more than made up for that, with some being quite large. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired, with waits of 15-20 minutes to get attention from the waitress. I don't want to place all the blame on her, as the manager/owner seemed to have only two staff members managing the busy night in the pub (despite its small size), which impacted the overall experience. **Val's Meal:** 12 BBQ Wings, 12 Salt and Pepper Wings, Root Beer **BBQ Wings:** 3 **Salt and Pepper Wings:** 2 **Pop:** 5 **Service:** 5 **Comments:** The wings were a good size, but the BBQ sauce was too sweet for my taste. The root beer was overly diluted and tasted more like root beer-flavored water. The bar was quite cramped, and the service was not great. **Service:** This was the most disappointing part of the night, and I hope it’s not a regular occurrence. The intervals between visits from our waitress were just too long, and there were times we felt completely ignored. However, we can’t put all the blame on her since they seemed to be overwhelmed on what is likely their busiest night of the week—25-cent wing night, a well-known draw for crowds. Despite the service hiccups, I’m still eager to return because, ultimately, it’s about the food, and that’s where I was truly satisfied. I will definitely be back!
It's a decent bar, but the main reason I visit is for the cheap beer on Thursdays. Aside from that, I probably wouldn't choose to go here. The food is mediocre and quite greasy. The place is small with limited seating. I suggest heading to Rivers Reach instead. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
It's been many years since I've enjoyed a dedicated wings night, and wow, the memories came rushing back when that basket of wings was placed in front of me. I dove right in and savored every bite of the tender meat.
As for parking, there's some available beside the pub. It can get quite full during busy hours, but there are free street parking options on 12th and nearby side streets.
