The staff at Highlight greeted us warmly and promptly prepared a picnic sampler along with some sweet tea. The fried chicken and fries were amazing! The pulled pork and coleslaw were also quite delicious. Although I wasn’t a fan of the chili with beans and corn, I won’t dwell on that. The restaurant was clean and not crowded at all. If you’re on Sixth Street and have a craving for BBQ, this is definitely the spot to check out.
I recently had breakfast at the restaurant, and it was excellent. The eggs, biscuit, and potatoes were cooked to perfection, and the coffee was delightful as well. However, I did find the prices to be somewhat high for my budget. Breakfast costs around $20, which is a significant jump compared to places like McDonald's and Burger King, where a meal is about $7. While I believe the food here is worth the cost, it’s a bit more than I can regularly afford. If the prices were a bit more reasonable, I would definitely return more often.
The food was absolutely amazing! The fried chicken was incredibly juicy, and I loved all the side dishes, including the pulled pork.
We dined at this restaurant for the first time and tried the eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato, substituting the avocado for onion, paired with fries. The flavor was satisfactory. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 3 out of 5.
I visited for brunch and really loved the avocado hash! The ingredients were super fresh, and the portion size was spot on.
