Contribuiți la feedbackWe enjoyed excellent service during our visit. The appetizers were quite good, and we appreciated that the pasta was served on a warm plate and hot. For starters, we had the bruschetta and eggplant, which tasted just as we remembered from our previous visits. However, there were some drawbacks. We were the only table on a Sunday night, which was surprising as it used to be a bustling restaurant. The server and chef were different from those we had encountered before. When we ordered pasta, we found the portions to be disappointingly small for the price. The gnocchi was overcooked and mushy, and instead of the porcini mushrooms listed on the menu, we received button mushrooms. The seafood was rubbery as well. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, and it was a disappointing experience overall. We recommend trying Piva instead.
For starters, we tried the meatballs, which were okay—just a bit too salty for my liking—but still tasty. We also had the orecchiette alla norcina and gnocchi tartufatti. My favorite was definitely the orecchiette alla norcina. The pasta was made in-house and cooked to perfection, with the mushrooms and Italian sausage complementing the sauce nicely. On the other hand, I was disappointed with the gnocchi, which was overly soft and almost slimy. Unfortunately, the sauce didn't pack much of a punch in terms of mushroom and truffle flavor. We didn't opt for dessert, but the restaurant kindly offered us a 10% discount on the bill due to the long wait. Overall, while the place had some good food and friendly, accommodating staff, it was also marred by misses and unfortunate circumstances.
We ordered two pasta dishes. The first one, the Calamarata ProFumo Di Mare, was terrible! The portion was small and certainly not worth the $28 price tag. It was bland and lacked substance. It was supposed to be a mixed seafood dish, but we only found five tiny clams (one of which was empty), a minuscule squid, and a few small shrimp. The pasta rings were so few we could’ve counted them. The second dish was a tagliatelle papalina with meat. Although the portion was also tiny, it tasted better, though it was too dry. The service was alright, but when I asked for the Wi-Fi password (yes, we're retired seniors with limited data plans, so we still rely on restaurant Wi-Fi), the server read it out to me, but it didn't work. I showed her, and she promised to check on it twice, but she never followed up! I needed the connection since I was closely following the US Open semi-final match and wouldn't usually check my phone while at a restaurant. In any case, there you have it. I recommend avoiding this restaurant completely! It must have been great in its heyday, but not anymore. Ciao!
The menu is great, but the execution seemed... unrefined. Dishes such as the carbonara and panna cotta were runny. Flavours were not developed and underseasoned. Service was friendly, but missing several steps of service. All in all, a passable, but not exceptional experience.
Loved the variety of dishes ? so sad that we don't eat all kinds of meats we got left with very few options . There is no pasta dish alone with prawns but the chef made us as we requested, thanks to the girl who guided us and served us. She was too good with her job
