Lone Star Cafe And - New Plymouth

My favorite restaurant in New Plymouth! I've dined there more than three times, and it always exceeds my expectations. I've never been disappointed. I will definitely be returning!

When we visited, it was incredibly busy, and we ended up squeezed into a half-table at the bar where we started with some drinks. I appreciated that they made an effort to ensure we got a meal without having to wait for a table in the dining area. I didn't have dessert this time, but I’ve had the pork ribs on a previous visit—they're a bit messy but truly finger-licking good! I highly recommend them. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, even in the chaos; I can't say I would have handled the pressure quite as well. I'm glad I'm not working in hospitality, haha! This place is great for a family meal; I think teenagers would really enjoy it. The portion sizes offer good value for the price compared to other restaurants, but just be aware that they are HUGE, and I'm no small eater!

Love this place. Cannot fault. The food is a bit pricey but for the quality and quantity it is perfect. Cheers for the awesome food and primo steaks! Great, friendly and smiley staff too. Highly recommend to all.

Husband and I went for dinner..was busy and noisy but ok.was greeted and seated promptly..introduced to our waitress Meland she was a gem!...hubby ordered kiwi joker and I ordered prawn star and shared kiwi pav as dessert...meals were big and tasted fantastic...highly recommended!!04/01/2014

Recommend to EVERYONE the meal sizes are huge and the food is always great. Have dined here a number of times and always impressed. Can be a little noisy at times but otherwise good.
