Peggy Gordon's Celtic

I always visit Peggy's when I'm in town. It's a fantastic pub with good food and a great selection of drinks. The quiz night was also a lot of fun!

This is a spacious pub with a great atmosphere. They have an extensive selection of beers, and the staff is very friendly. We ordered a small fries to share between two, and it was definitely enough! We also tried the beef and Guinness pie, as well as the Sunday pork roast. The pie had a perfectly flaky crust and the filling was delicious—moist and packed with flavor! However, the gravy for the roast was a bit too salty for my taste, but the portion size was very generous!

We visited Peggy's for the third time this week, and it was fantastic! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. Plus, it was conveniently located near our accommodation. If you’re staying in New Plymouth, this place is a must-visit—you won’t be disappointed. A big shoutout to the staff for making our experience even better!

Great vibe and buffet breakfast for only $30 in the morning with the All Blacks game. Nice tap beer. What more do you need!!

Bar service is a little slow, they can seem more interested in talking to each other than serving you. Good selection and busy creating an atmosphere. Never ate here.
