The Bulldog Mid-city - New Orleans

Beer choice great. Food very bad. Frozen fried mushrooms still frozen and fish over cooked.

We stopped in after a recommendation from a friend, during the early afternoon. It has the feel of a local neighborhood bar (kind of like Cheers from the show). It was clean and well taken care of with plenty of seating. The bathrooms were AMAZING!!! The kitchen was closed which was a bummer because we'd previewed the menu online and came hungry. There was a manager interviewing a new bartender and another new bartender in training (his first day). The drinks were exactly what we ordered and were fast and good. We tried to engage in conversation but didn't really have a welcoming response. We are chalking it up to the new staff, training interviewing taking place. Plus, they had a workman there doing some repair.This place has awesome potential and with more engagement with new people, I could see it being quite the hot spot.

The Bulldog is a Lakeview gem. Its right across the street from the cemetaries and next to Mid City. They have like 40 beers on tap, good wifi, and lots of tables. They also have shuffleboard. The patio is huge as well. It's not covered but they do have heaters and fans out there. There's one couch if you want to cuddle, but otherwise the tables inside are a mix of high tops and low tops. Beers are reasonably priced, and the music is usually solid but not too loud to have a conversation.

We had a fabulous night at the Bulldog!! We had a private party on the patio. The vibe was lovely from the get-go, with Christina, the event coordinator being so gracious and helpful. The patio was clean and well set up. Our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The folks who work there were all helpful and polite. And last but definitely not least, our very own private bartender, Xander, was THE!!! BEST!!! He was slinging the drinks like nobody's business! Laughing and smiling with us all. I hope he had as good a time as we did. THANKS A MILLION!!!

If you ever need a beer, a really good cold beer, come to @bulldog_midcity, you will be pleased.
