Contribuiți la feedbackThe waitress wasn’t much better. She mistakenly ordered the wrong appetizer for my wife, and when we pointed it out, she responded with an attitude. Ultimately, we were made to pay for the appetizer that we didn’t order and didn’t eat. My friend had to repeatedly ask for his beer until he finally received it—right as we were finishing our dinner. When it came time for the check, we requested to split it. I didn’t ask her to calculate or separate items, as I was a waiter myself and knew better. Instead, I simply told her how much I wanted on each of the two cards. Without any courtesy, she pointed to a small note at the bottom of the menu that mentioned something about not allowing split checks. I would have accepted this policy if her demeanor had been polite, but it was quite the opposite. As for the food, as I mentioned earlier, it was nothing special. My wife had the blackened fish, and I had the broiled shrimp—both of which were average. Additionally, the main reason we chose this restaurant was for the jazz music; however, it turns out that it was not played in the dining room but in the theater next door. I mention this because some might expect live jazz during their dining experience, but that won't be the case here. Overall, we did not enjoy our visit and will not be returning.
This restaurant offers a delightful selection of New Orleans dishes, making it a great spot for a unique dining experience. The customer service is excellent, and there’s an impressive assortment of wines and cocktails available. Be aware that parking is limited, so you may need to pay for parking nearby. Additionally, the venue features a live music room where you can buy tickets to enjoy jazz and other performances—definitely worth it! It's a lovely place for couples, special occasions, and business meetings. Enjoy your visit!
As I strolled down Frenchmen Street, I felt a strong urge to check out this place, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise! There was an incredible performance happening in a cozy, intimate theater tucked away in the back. The Mahmoud Chouki New World Ensemble was playing, and I highly recommend catching their show if you can. It was truly something special!
Firstly, I must stay that the staff is absolutely friendly! As the name suggests, it a snug location- feels like a setting from a movie. I was a tourist to the area so I loved that! The food was great as well. Their sangria is awesome as well. There is live music that you enjoy (I believe you have to pay for tickets).
I had an excellent experience and would definitely go back! Trumpet Mafia was fantastic.
