There were polaroids over the walls of the smiling faces of regular customers, and first timers. My husband ordered a typical big breakfast, and I had the banana pancakes with sausage. They were cooked in butter with crispy edges and soft bags of fresh bananas. It was heaven on a plate. If you are looking for the typical diner menu with a casual neighborhood feeling, this is your place! Five stars on the way!
That was an incredible brunch experience. First, let me prepare you. It's busy. As if we have good food and everyone loves us not busy we spend a hundred dollars that are traveling that some New Orleans have brunching places. Maybe 30 minutes. Slim Goodies hits all the other places around a mile. My dish was a combination of cancer grottos while my buddy Chili was on his. Both had a hash brown bed and a selection of eggs. Simple, incredibly delicious and delicious. Absolutely.
A star is too generous, but I had to leave one to write the review. That was the worst breakfast I ever had in my life. So many people have restaurants, but their chefs cannot cook. If I were, I would appear in sporadic and order random items from the menu to test. The fruit bowl was missing from my order. The cheese might have a teaspoon of cheese in it. I had to add at least three packages of butter for taste salt was not present in the grains. The New Orleans slammer was very soggy and Bland. The sweet cake tastes like chemicals. I will never order again, even if this was the only restaurant in New Orleans.
Really? ve knew I didn't like this food because I don't see anyone black and black people love GOOD food. Anyway, I ordered the dish that I saw on her IG and it was sooo mediocre. At first, my food wasn't hot. The plate was hot, but the food was lukewarm, this is a big animal feed for me. And the food looked staged. Like a plate of playing dough food. I didn't even eat. The pancakes were burned. It has definitely not lived to my standards for NOLA food! The place didn't look or felt too clean. I wouldn't recommend it.
We really LOVED this place! I had the sweet potato waffle with pecans, my daughter had the pancakes, and my wife had the Greek omelette. This is a quirky place away from the Quarter. Can?t wait to go back for lunch.
