Rahm Haus - New Orleans

The most delicious ice-cream anywhere around. We routinely order the Cookie Monster (aka cookies n cream) and couldn 't be happier. What makes the Rahm Haus Cookie Monster extra cool is that it 's colored blue and the blue color doesn 't come from food coloring, but rather blue spirulina phycocyanin which is a type of blue algae. The flavor has a generous amount of cookie in it and is creamy, both of which I appreciate. The service is great too. The woman who waited on us was extremely professional, informative and otherwise friendly. The ambiance is charming. It 's located in the Merchant House and the vibe is that of a trendy outside bar. We love it.

So delicious I inhaled my cup and still wanted more ice cream! I got the Cookie Monster.$10 for two-scoops is steep but I'll happily go again for special occasions.

Artisan Jillian Duran is sadly folding up shop this Spring. Suppliers raising costs in March, production ceasing in April, and Rahm House ultimately shuttering in May 2023, so get it while you can
