Contribuiți la feedbackWhat an amazing experience! From the drinks and delicious food to the delightful ambiance and outstanding customer service, I absolutely loved this place! Even though the kitchen was a bit delayed, they treated us to a complimentary dish and a glass of wine. We were already enjoying ourselves, but that was a lovely bonus! I also appreciate that this restaurant contributes to each bill to provide benefits for their employees. This spot is definitely a new favorite of mine, and I highly recommend it!
We were recommended this place by friends, and it truly is a stunning find. We visited for Sunday brunch before heading to Jazz Fest, and had an excellent experience. The hip staff serve expertly crafted cocktails and unique dishes from a surprisingly small kitchen. New Orleans offers a plethora of dining choices, but this spot should definitely be on your list! **Ambience:** The atmosphere is charming, with meticulous attention to detail that creates an intimate dining experience. **Service:** The knowledgeable staff guided us through a menu that is delightfully different, heavily influenced by British cuisine. Be sure to say hello to Grant, the English chef, who is producing exceptional and unique dishes! **Menu:** I can't praise the food enough; every dish we tried was amazing. Trust the staff's recommendations and don't hesitate to be adventurous with your choices. **Beverages:** I thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, and the wine selection was impressive, along with some fantastic local beers. **Summary:** I cannot recommend this place highly enough! It may be a bit off the beaten path, but it's absolutely worth the trip. We will definitely be returning!
For our starters, we had foie gras with gingerbread, paired with ginger jelly—absolutely delightful! The flavors worked beautifully together. The bone marrow served with focaccia was also deliciously rich. For the main course, we ordered the ribeye accompanied by truffle butter fries. We also tried sweetbreads for the first time; they were pleasantly crispy on the outside with a nice chewiness and a delicious buffalo flavor that really enhanced the dish. As for dessert, I preferred the strawberries with crème fraîche over the currant puff pastry. The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic, making it an overall wonderful experience!
This gem of a place is on the very edge of the Quarter on St. Louis Street. Tucked behind the beautiful old building is a lovely courtyard and the entrance to a beautiful bar area and more tables. Maddie and Vince took excellent care of us, listening to what we liked and making appropriate recommendations for craft cocktails. It's an intimate atmosphere to enjoy both traditional and contemporary cocktails along with caviar (if you're into that), small plates of seasonal foodofferings and attention to details.
First time dining at jewel of the south after hearing amazing things about them. They fell nothing short of exceptional in every aspect. The service was impeccable, Madi made my boyfriend and I feel right at home. The cocktails were so refreshing, very happy with our choices. We got the French 75 and the Feast of Avalon. The food was perfect. We had the wagyu beef tongue, the pork belly, shishito peppers with bacon fat creme, cantaloupe with prosciutto and ricotta, and weended the night with an amazing malted chocolate custard. Definitely coming back to this jewel!
