Frey Smoked Meat Co. - New Orleans

I’m a big fan of brisket, and I recognize high-quality brisket when I taste it. The brisket sandwich here was exceptional! It practically melted in my mouth, just like good brisket should. The plate also came with fries; although they were clearly frozen, they were cooked to a nice crisp and surprisingly tasty. The lack of ceiling tiles creates a bit of noise in the room, but overall, the restaurant was enjoyable. I will definitely return for more of that fantastic brisket!

I had the pleasure of dining at Frey for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server suggested the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese, which we absolutely loved. I chose the Breakfast Burger, and I really enjoyed the special Frey burger sauce that came with it. My family ordered a plate featuring both pulled pork and brisket, and the original barbecue flavor was a delightful treat for our taste buds. For dessert, we shared a towering Praline shake, which had an actual praline on top! Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience, and I have no doubt that my family and I will return soon.

The staff is great and very attentive, the food melts in your mouth and their homemade sauces are incredible! I have not one bad opinion of this place and will return as often as I can.

I was totally blown away by how good this place was!!! And the staff was OUTSTANDING! The wife and I stopped here on our way out of town after Jazz Fest. I have already recommended it to several coworkers since my company is based out of NOLA. If you go, try the brussel sprouts and the SMOKED PORK BELLY!!! On a scale of 10, they dialed it to 11. Sure, the BBQ may not have gold dust on it, but I didn't have high expectations when I walked in. Suffice it to say, I was surprisingly impressed.

I grew up eating Frey hotdogs because that was my family, so I wish hotdogs were on the menu, but the food we ordered and ate was awesome! We did have to wait, but the wait was worth it! I liked their honesty about not serving outside because they would compromise the quality from the kitchen. Keep up the good work!
