Dots Diner River Ridge - New Orleans

A truly wonderful and authentic American diner experience. We loved Dot's! The staff was super friendly and the food was really excellent, we ordered the shrimps po boy and pommes and it was not disappointed. Very recommended here!

I called to report hair to my food and manager had a very nasty attitude and added, I mean, it's what I should do? In a non-chalante way! will never get my service again!

1950s style diner serving American food favorites from burgers to breakfast. Like most of the places in New Orleans, they have a virtual gaming area for gambling if you?re into that kind of thing. A sign advertised that on Wednesdays you get free fries and drink with the purchase of a burger for a great discount. I ordered the banana fosters French toast and it was delicious, but a little too much on the sweet side. Just be sure to ask for real butter and not the liquid butter they place on the table in a squirt dispenser. Also ordered the country fried steak to be served 2 banquet frozen meal style patties covered in gravy. The food could definitely use some seasoning and flavor. Service was great, yet food takes a while to prepare due to staffing issues.

I visited this restaurant on a whim during my road trip, and I was blown away! My breakfast was simply delicious, and my server Abbi was outstanding! She really went the extra mile with her service. It's a fantastic place with an amazing staff and a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!

I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich on Texas Toast to go, and I was disappointed when I returned home to find what they had given me. Instead of a sandwich, I received a cheese omelet with a side of bacon and toast. It was completely different from how they've served it in the past. The presentation was lazy, and they didn’t even cut it in half or serve it like a proper sandwich, which they've always done before. Additionally, the staff seemed unfriendly and never smiled. I also think I was overcharged; I paid around $7.50, while the online menu lists it for $6.29. Even with a 10 percent sales tax, the total should not have come to $7.50.
