China Moon Wok - New Orleans

The food here is fantastic, prepared fresh and made to order, all at amazing prices. The fried rice is cooked just right, and the shrimp, sourced locally from Louisiana, is always perfectly cooked. The fresh spring rolls are generous in size, delicious, and incredibly affordable. I highly recommend this family-owned and operated restaurant.

My friend and I dined at China Moon Wok Restaurant, and the food was fantastic! The waitress provided excellent customer service. My friend chose the Sesame chicken, while I went for the Sweet and Sour chicken. We both relished our meals. I highly recommend dining at China Moon Wok!

The tofu banh mi and veggie pho deserve a solid 5 stars. However, the rest of the food was the worst I've ever experienced, which is disappointing because the prices are affordable, the location is fantastic, and the staff are wonderful. The veggie tofu and shrimp lo mein were particularly bad. The sauces were thin and flavorless, leaving a strange aftertaste—no amount of soy sauce could salvage it. I couldn't help but feel that the lo mein was actually just spaghetti, and not good spaghetti at that. I haven't eaten all day, but I think I'll just whip something up at home instead, as this meal is going straight in the trash. It's really disappointing. I also tried the crab rangoons before, and they had a bizarre sweet cheese filling with a strange texture and absolutely no crab. It reminded me of old cheesecake filling, and the dough was rubbery.

Mond Wok is my favorite spot in the district for lunch! I work in the area and I always check their Instagram to see if they're open since their recent show. If they are, I call in and get my order super quickly! The prices and portion sizes are unbeatable! She really excels at what she does!
