Thai food in New Orleans! Different flavor in their take of thai food. Fav was the flank salad, omg so refreshing and delicious. Thai tea is poured in a pitcher, very interesting. It was very good but sweet. Dumpling is goooood, a good white pepper flavor. The sauce were the main deal, very light soy sauce and was complimentary. Chicken wings were crispy, seasoned like a chinese take out, sauce was very much fishsauce and blend of vinegar. The flank Salad was so on pointbc it was so refreshing and had mint and celery. It balanced the saltiness of the meal. Drunken noodle was differnt, didnt expect a ramen(mi gor eng) noodle. But good flavor. Pad See ew was goood, but the shrimp was quite mushy, not sureif thats how New Orleans do their shrimp.. Overall their entrees was on the salty side.
In town visiting our daughter and she took us to Budsi?s, what a wonderful dining experience!! The staff was fast and efficient, they got our food to us quickly. We heard a little bit of the history of the place. Stop in if you are in the mood for Thai and yummy cocktails, you will not be disappointed!!
Let?s start with the highs then go to the lows. The highs- the curry was one of the best I had. If you?re deciding on a noodle option- the drunken noodles were fine little noodles packed with satisfying flavor. The lows- the service. Since you place order at the counter, there must have been some confusion as to what we got but the food still came out relatively fast. It?s pretty noisy inside. And the pad thai was just decent.
I absolutely loved this sweet restaurant! The food has so much flavor packed into it, great contrasting textures as well, not to mention how sweet and helpful all of the staff is! A heads up though, the portions are pretty large, so bring your appetite !! I definitely recommend the curry!
