Bearcat Cafe Uptown - New Orleans

Bearcat is a must-visit when you are in the crescent city. The restaurant is located in a neighborhood full of unique eateries and shops. The food is incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. We appreciated the friendly staff and the variety of menu options. Don't miss out on the chance to dine at this amazing restaurant.

This restaurant was fantastic, but be prepared to wait a substantial amount of time for a table. Regardless of the day, expect to wait longer than 30 minutes. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes, which is why I am giving it four stars instead of five. However, the food was definitely worth the wait, especially if you have dietary restrictions like gluten and dairy. There are plenty of options available, and my favorite was the cave breakfast.

I recently enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch at this restaurant. I started with the creole crab dish, which was incredibly tasty. Since I have a big appetite, I ordered two entrees: the brisket hash and the Cajun gravy biscuit. The presentation of the hash was surprising, as it appeared to just be breakfast potatoes and an egg, but underneath there was gravy and some type of meat that I think was brisket (although it didn't quite taste like brisket to me). Overall, the meal was very satisfying.

LOVED this place! Came here while visiting New Orleans with my sister who is vegan. I?m not vegan but really enjoy vegan food. This restaurant had something for everyone omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, even paleo. We both got vegan dishes and what we had was awesome. So flavorful, great textures, etc. Good coffee too. We came around mid morning on a Tuesday and while we didn?t have to wait there was a decent crowd, so if there?s a crowd even at off times I have to think this

Stopped in on the Saturday of essence festival and overall my group was satisfied. When we originally got there, it was very crowded and we were told that the wait would be 1 hour and 30 minutes. The hostess added us to the wait list, took our phone number, and told us she would call when the food was ready.
