Shaking Crab New London

We ordered the fisherman's platter and king crab legs, both of which were well-prepared. However, the crab legs were a bit pricey for the portion size. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

We were quite disappointed with our experience at this new restaurant. While we understand that new establishments often have some initial hiccups, we still found the service lacking. The server seemed overwhelmed, especially with a party of five at the same time. Our appetizers arrived with the main courses, and although we expected to enjoy our meal, the food was pricey and I ended up leaving hungry. We spent $250 for two kids and three adults, which I wouldn't have minded if the meal and service had met our expectations. On a positive note, the atmosphere was really enjoyable. The talking robot that delivered items added a unique touch, even if it felt a bit out of place. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Decor is a casual seafood theme Ambiance includes dance music and a TV showing cooking shows Service is slow, as if this was an intimate dining experience Which leads to confusing clashes in the experience: Given the pricing of the seafood, it 's only OK. Also, it 's odd not to display the source (Have you ever seen a $45 lobster dish not listed as Maine Lobster ? , or to have the environment setup to match fine dining . Given the casual atmosphere, it 's odd to have slow service, a small drink menu, and loud music. There are a handful of good ideas here, they just don 't work well together.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The bowl of soup was a generous size, and the customer service was excellent. Luna was especially great and had a fantastic sense of humor. The seafood portion was also substantial.
