Contribuiți la feedbackFounded as a farmer's market in 2008, fiddlehead's co-workers were all voluntary in the next 3 years, which is considered a test for community idealism. after 3 years, the finances stabilized to pay several employees, but their workforce was still largely voluntary. At 7 years, all the employees were paid. around 10 years it built a kitchen with takeout foods, which was monitored by the master chef who used to run mangetout. (many of their vegan dishes, especially the hummuses, are tantalizing. the chef has to achieve a better accuracy in their ingredients lists. for example of the over 25 ingredients in the excellent soba tempeh bowl, brown rice is listed third, but nary a korn can be found after 11 years, fiddleheads is so firmly established an institution that new londoners must ask themselves how they have ever survived without it. his meteorically rising is both amazing and hearty! I respect and am to all who have volunteered (I know them because I was one of them, to his current paid staff working for organic food, to his superiors who are voluntary, and to the local farmers who sell their products here. while all its products are organic, fiddleheads aktiw promotes the consumption of dead animals, with whose bodies its freeze and refrigerator overflow. I have to keep my breath when I walk past his open refrigerator of the dead cell. I am both at fiddleheads and at willimantic food coop, at ct only two food cooops. if they are a veg, they should consider protecting willi food coop. willis meat is only limited to two freezer doors, less than half, as in fiddle, where rindsirky even confronts you at the cash counter. (on the other side, fiddles vegan cheese far above the number of Willi’s among the farmers who sell directly to fiddleheads, many also sell dead animals. if there is a farmer on the farm market, and he sells live products and also dead animals, I will buy his products. but if there are two farmers selling live products, one that also sells dead animals and one that only produce when I give the choice, I will only sell those that only products. I thank them if we use the choice in the name of better unborn. so, given the choice between buying at fiddle and willi, my preference is clear, although due to the prohibitive auto miles, I shop at both. I am grateful for willi and fiddle (and for foodworks in old saybrook guilford) without which I would be forced to apply far-reaching bare whole foods.
I love it here! here there are so many options for vegan, including hard to find items. I also love their decoration and household goods selection. they give out many goods, and the staff is always a joy to speak.
Large selection of vegan foods that they cannot find in other food stores around ct. many good options. here they find everything. the personal is amazing.
Love this co-op! many options, I love especially their meals. my favorite is the tempo reuben sandwich
This is definitely the best place in the area to stock up on all your vegan necessities. They carry many more options than a typical grocery store. Note that they do carry animal products as well. They have a great bulk section for things like herbs, spices, grains, nuts, etc. You can also make your own almond butter and peanut butter there which is fun for the kids. The produce section is also really nice. They also carry natural toiletries and some clothing items and accessories. Their to-go foods also include many vegan options, as well as their baked goods. I’d definitely recommend coming here if you get the chance.
