Ranch Frostie - New Lenox

I've been visiting this ice cream shop since I was a child, and it's still one of my favorites in the area. The service is consistently quick and friendly. There are plenty of picnic tables available where you can enjoy your treats. I opted for a small twist cone, and I found the size to be just right, with a delicious flavor! The ice cream is incredibly smooth and creamy—absolutely love it! You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. If you haven't tried it yet, definitely give it a visit—you won't be disappointed!

Ranch Frostie is far from formal or fancy, and that's part of its charm. You simply walk up to one of the two windows to order your hot food or ice cream. Don’t forget to bring cash! The hot dogs and chili were delicious and just as I expected. The ice cream had a texture similar to a frosty or a flurry. Overall, I had a nice experience, although the service was a bit slow. There is plenty of parking available, along with picnic tables to enjoy your meal.

Absolutely amazing! The customer service was outstanding! I arrived with 20 little kids, and Addi, Alli, and Jack Logan took all our orders perfectly, paying the closest attention to detail. It was truly the best experience! The owners should be incredibly proud! -M

PROS: Support this local business! The sundaes and shakes are delicious. Parking is easy and there are a number of picnic benches to eat. CONS: Cash only. I cannot help but wish the owners would power spray wash the front walkway area on a regular basis.

A great Mom Pop ice cream shop. Ive reviewed in the past but I think reviews are removed after several years. Always liked this place. Prices are decent. They have a good soft serve. I like ordering a soda. As in a chocolate soda, with vanilla or chocolate ice cream on the side of the cup up high, with some soda water mixed in . Along with the obligatory Hershey's syrup for a old time soda flavor. Yum yum. Service is always good here. They train the kids right. Parking is adequate. Worth a stop. Way better than that big chain brand!
