It's a sports bar, but the TVs don't have sound for the games! Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 1/5

After some time spent gambling, we returned to the restaurant, only to find a long line. No worries—we could wait. We headed to our hotel room for a bit and then returned. A hostess or server greeted us, and I asked if we could get a table. She checked something on her computer and informed us, to my shock, that the restaurant had stopped serving food for the night. Confused, I checked my phone and saw that it was only 8:44 PM. My husband and I were baffled—why would a busy sports bar not serve food on a Saturday night at that hour? Disappointed, we decided to leave and ended up with terrible pizza at the deli across the way. While it was frustrating, we tried to laugh it off. The reason I’m writing this review is that the next morning, we noticed a sign outside the restaurant stating that it closes at 10 PM on Saturdays, and the kitchen stops serving food at 9 PM. So, why were we turned away before 9 PM? Having worked in the service industry for 15 years, I believe that when a place has a closing time, they should welcome customers until that time. I understand the need to clean up and prepare for closing, and I can see how serving someone just before closing can be frustrating, but we arrived well before 9 PM, with plenty of time to order and receive our meal. I wanted to reach out to management to discuss this privately to avoid leaving a negative public review, but I couldn't find a contact number. I sincerely hope you can train your staff to improve in this area and appreciate the patrons who choose to dine with you and provide generous tips.

When the manager approached us, he didn't introduce himself or apologize; his first remark was, "I just made that myself, it's fine." We challenged him to try the food, and he reluctantly admitted, "Oh, well, yeah, I see what you mean." We weren't looking for a handout and turned down any compensation. What we really want is for the staff to take pride in their work and strive for improvement. Please make the necessary changes. It's possible to prepare food closer to the bar and to train staff to interact with customers more professionally.
