Kings Family Restaurants - New Castle

I would rate this place 5 stars if we had Shay as our waitress (she was leaving just as we arrived yesterday around 1 PM). The restaurant wasn't even busy, with only 5-6 tables occupied, yet it took a long time for our food to come out. They didn't even bring syrup for my boyfriend's pancakes, which shouldn't require a request. He also wanted more water and soda, but our server hardly came by our table and kept apologizing. On our previous visit, when the restaurant was much busier, we had Shay and it was a great experience. We always ask for her if she’s working.

We enjoyed great breakfasts during our visit. Our waitress, Ashley, was very helpful.

I had a late lunch that felt more like an early dinner, and as always, the food was excellent. My server, Becky, was very attentive and friendly, just as she always is. Thank you, and I wish you a safe and Happy New Year!

Shay is the ultimate professional. Working short handed, she’s always smiling and never stops. Never complained. Would sit in her section again!
