El Canelo Mexican - New Castle

My daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren adore this restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was not as enjoyable as theirs. The food I tried was watery and lacking in flavor. I wanted to like it, but it just didn't taste good to me. However, every time I pass by the restaurant, the aroma is so enticing! I'm giving it 2 stars because my family enjoys it, even though my own experience was disappointing.

Antonio is fantastic for catering assistance! The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Just tried this delightful little Mexican restaurant for lunch and it was fabulous. Our service was extravagant and the food was even better. Make sure you bring your appetite because the portions are huge. I ordered the Lunch Chimichanga and it came with guac , sour cream, refried beans a cheese sauce. It was so good that I ate every last bite. This little restaurant was very clean and they were socially distancing tables. I should of took pictures but next time I will. I cant wait to make this a regular lunch spot.

I hate to leave a negative review, but the meal I had was very disappointing. Everything tasted bland and the food was dirty. The bark, rice, guacamole, and chips were all lacking in flavor. It's a shame because I really wanted to enjoy this popular local spot.

I've enjoyed this business for years. but today was something bad. I ordered Steak-Fajitas for the take-out and went without them. the reason is when they order from the journey through or when they “extract” they calculate an educated tax. this tax is called an excise tax that I have ordered, take it out of this place and many others in the run of the years and that is the very FIRST time that I have heard of such a thing. I get that we live in taxsylvania, but in this commonwealth there is no such tax. So I asked it and after the conversation with the girl in the window a little longer. she spilled the buzz on the fact that the owner invented it. what I already knew. but honesty I don't know if I'm coming back here.
