Salt Seafood Oyster - New Brunswick

Very nice restaurant to celebrate a specialty night with that special someone!

I have been to Salt a handful of times and can say every time I visit, everything is great the food, drinks, service. Making reservations online is easy and very much encouraged, it is typically packed when we go! The burrata appetizer with Jersey tomatoes is so good and highly recommend. I ordered the Mahi Mahi crab special and my husband got the red snapper. Both were delicious! My rose wine was nice and cold, and my husband enjoyed his cocktail. We ended with dessert, the peanut butter brownie and two espresso martinis. Unfortunately, I can't recall our waitresses name but she was very attentive and along with the bussers refilling waters and clearing plates. A perfect spot for a date night!

The food was definitely a 10/10. Great food, ambiance, and service! The waitress was so nice, very attentive, and she made great recommendations on different food and drinks to try.

How is it that I am just getting around to Salt? Don't know, but it won't be my last visit. Always a bourbon Manhattan to start, and the Eagle Rare was mixed well. Our group of four started with the charred octopus, very tasty; and crab dip, which while not my choice was very good as well. The mains were all visually attractive as were the small plates before. My dining partners chose the Black Sea Bass, corn gnocchi with lobster, and a special, sesame encrusted blue fin tuna (close, I hope! . I chose my favorite fish, Florida grouper with broccolini, which did not achieve greatness, but was pretty darn good. Can't speak for the others, but clean plates all around. Next visit I hope they are serving the sesame tuna. The deserts, tiramisu and Basque cheese cake were elevated above the norm, but I was too full to appreciate. The restaurant is pleasingly arranged and decorated; diners ranged from family to groups to couples, and the vibe was good. So was the service.

What an amazing experience! Executive chef Christian Graziano-a long time family friend-made us an extraordinary meal! The service is outstanding, the venue is top notch.
