Carmen's - New Brunswick

This meal is perfect for busy days and is great for kids. It includes a combination of white rice, beans, chicken, and a salad that changes regularly. It's a flavorful option, and you definitely get plenty of food in each serving.

The Chuleta Frita dish was definitely the highlight of my meal. It was nicely fried, with a crisp exterior, though the inside could have been a bit more tender. The portion of rice and beans was generous for the price. However, the Rabo Guisado (stewed oxtail) didn’t quite impress me. While the flavor was excellent, the pieces were mainly tail tips (small) and didn’t have that fall-off-the-bone tenderness I was hoping for. On the positive side, the side of Aguacate (avocado) was fresh and complemented the other dishes perfectly.

My favorite dish is the Mofongo with Bistec. The sauce that accompanies it is absolutely delicious! I also enjoy the Bisteck Encebollado, which pairs perfectly with the rice and beans, especially when combined with their Maduros. The portion sizes are always generous as well.

Pollo guisado was delicious. I got the large and I felt like I was having a feast! Thank you carmen you made my day at work. The food tastes like it was made with love, like youre at your friends house and his mom makes you dinner. Highly recommend

The mangu con los tres golpes???? AMAZING!!! those empanadas are 2 die 4!! plus a good sweet passion fruit juice 2 wash it down: definitely recommending this place
