The Outpost Casual Dining

Had lunch there today.. the wait staff were friendly, attentive. The food was great, fried cat fish filet, fried okra, and cheese grits. Oh !! My mercy the cheese grits were the best ever!!! Met Tara the owner head chef..warm friendly. The price was perfect as was the entire experience! I will go back and I will suggest “ The Outpost “ to my friends.

Burgers and ribeye were ok. Fried pickles and fries were very good. Onion rings, not so good. Service was VERY VERY slow, but everyone was extremely nice. The restaurant was clean. We will probably not go back.

This place was ok, the service was very nice and friendly, but they appeared to be out of most items. I got a house salad, which was very fresh but they were out of onions. We also got the fried pickles as an appetizer, which were very good. My husband got the pork chop which wasn't exactly what we expected. It was more like a slice of ham that they called a pork chop. The green beans were straight out of the can and the mashed potatoes they offered gravy with, but I opted out and I wish I hadn't, they needed a little more flavor. Overall dinner was ok but the price point was a little crazy. An appetizer, two dinners and one beer was $80. Seemed a little much for canned green beans and being out of most options including straws for some weird reason!

This kept popping up on my Yelp and welp I just had to try it. There are a few truly good restaurants near Fort Rucker, so I am always up to traveling outside of the Enterprise and Daleville area. I am so glad we did and found this local New Brockton restaurant. We really didn't know what to expect but we were delighted. Being raised on a cattle ranch and living in Kansas City for 17 years I've grown accustomed to my steaks big and delicious The Outpost really got it shook because the steak was AWESOME. Daniel the owner came out and made the rounds to the tables which is just so hometown'ish Go try this pls e out, you won't regret it!!!

Went for dinner tonight and the food and service was outstanding !! Server was very attentive and the food was amazing !!! Would recommend 10/10 ???
