Kennedy Fried Chicken Pizza

After work, I was on the hunt for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this hidden gem in New Britain. I ordered a large meat lover's pizza along with some hot wings for my boyfriend and me. The pizza was outstanding, and the wings were just right. I will definitely be returning for more!

Can we take a moment to appreciate how amazing this restaurant is? I've been coming here my entire life, but when the pandemic hit last year, we were disappointed that our in-person visits to Pizzaworks had to come to an end. Throughout the pandemic, they were a significant support for us. We've ordered takeout from them quite frequently over the past year, and they've consistently delivered excellent pizzas and delicious pasta every single time. Not once have they messed up our order. Last night, we finally decided to break our routine and dine in. It was our first time eating out in over a year, and it was absolutely fantastic—just as we remembered. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was lively with the trains running, and the kids had a great time. We can't wait to return! It's truly some of the best pizza and food in the entire state.

I ordered my first pizza this evening, and the only reason I couldn't give it a 5-star review is that the cheese and toppings didn't cover the entire pizza. Aside from that, everything was excellent, and I'll definitely be ordering more for football nights. I also appreciate that the pizza isn't overly greasy, even with plenty of toppings. The crust is fantastic too! However, I was a bit disappointed with the size of the wings I ordered. Other than that, everything else we tried was spot on.

Pizza Works is a small, out-of-sight, hole-in-the-wall pizza/grinders/and much more kind of place in a very small strip mall set back off the road. It likely doesn’t get a lot of random walk in business, but it is well worth seeking out. I’ve eaten here several times with my family, and all of the food has been excellent. The decor is not fancy, but the restaurant is neat clean and the owners/staff seem like great guys. The salads, burgers, grinders, and pizza were all very good. I love garlic knots, and the ones here are some of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t let the location or size of this place fool you. The food here is excellent and the prices are good.
