Newk's Eatery - New Braunfels

The place is pretty clean. I love eating. the personal is always friendly. I can say that eating was freshly made without having to wait so long.

Normally I would say this place is great because it usually is, that’s why it’s getting 3 stars and not 1 but today half our order was messed up. My husbands sandwich was not the best, the avocado was completely brown/black and the bread was so hard. But the topper was the live bug in my daughters salad. She had already eaten half of it when she picked up her fork and there it was crawling around in ranch dressing.

Good tomato basil soup, overpowering sauce on italian sandwich. The middle of the dining area was messy with to go items.

Our first time here and it will be our last. Walked in and found the structure odd. People standing everywhere. We could not tell where the line was. The menu was to the left in big print while the register located off to the side. Set up not customer friendly. Once we decided to order, the cashier was not familiar with custom orders. I understand everyone has to start somewhere. My suggestion is familiarize yourself with the menu that way no hesitations and mistakes are made. Once we got our food, I was not impressed. One pizza had plenty of mushrooms, while the other barely had any. The steak in the one was sub par. While the chicken in the other was better with little mushrooms. The dough was soft in the middle and not cooked enough. The price point was high for the quality of food received. Won't be back.

This review has nothing to do with food and everything to do with management and how terrible the service is. We brought our family of 8 after church to take advantage of their .99 deal for kids, which we pointed out before ordering. After ordering we asked why we weren’t given the discount and were told by manager Jaime it only applies after 4pm. Nowhere is it posted anywhere that it’s only after 4pm and when I pointed it out, manager Jamie told me that I had to ask to learn that. We pointed out we did before we ordered and she started to say something before stopping herself to say there was nothing she could do. So BEWARE of all promotions offered. Conditions likely apply but you’ll only find out after you go in and ask. We had an order for almost 100 and she blew me off and clearly wasn’t going to do anything to make up for it. If I’m going to spend 100 on food at a restaurant for my family, it definitely won’t be this place.
