Cantina Del Rio - New Braunfels

As a local, this is by far one of my favorite restaurants too frequent. Food always on point. wait staff is kind. managers treat you not like just a customer, but like family. Drinks are well made and the place is kept really clean considering how busy it gets. If you've ever driven through NB and haven't been here; your missing out!

The Cantina is a charming little spot located at the end of the main street, offering an impressive selection of Mexican delights. I tried the Mexican burger, which was incredibly flavorful with a nice kick from the chilies and sauces. The chips are unlimited and come with a spicy dipping sauce—definitely too much food to finish! Everything was unique and delicious. The margaritas are touted as the 'best rated' for over a decade, and I found them to be flavorful and tangy, although I would recommend serving them in a glass instead of a plastic cup for a better experience. If you decide to visit, be sure to sit on the back patio—it's a fantastic place to relax, especially with a few margaritas in hand!

First time here and we liked it. We didn't order an entree . We had ate at another place and decided to go get some drinks there. The drinks were ok. Not consistent on strength and flavor. My first round was amazing the second round were so strong and sweet I didn't even drink half. The chips and queso was delicious as far as I can remember. We were pretty drunk and we were having so much fun. I'll have to come back and try out the food. It looked delicious. Another great time, more jalapeno margaritas. I like coming here and catching a buzz before I go to the gristmill

We waited 40 minutes, but it was Saturday, so that was expected. Our server was very friendly and cheerful. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were fantastic—some of the best chips we've ever had! The fajitas and fish tacos were excellent, too. We really appreciated that the music in the background was just that—background music. It enhanced the atmosphere without hindering our conversation. Thank you for a wonderful evening meal!

I've been there several times, and it can get busy quickly. The parking situation is quite cramped, so it's best to use the larger lot and walk over. The margaritas are very strong, so be prepared for that. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Most of the seating is outdoors and covered, which can be a bit warm during the summer months.
