Contribuiți la feedbackWhen most of the mom and pop restaurants were closing at 3pm, we decided to pop into here. We were immediately seated. I had to laugh as they had a sign on the wall that listed there was a 50 minute time limit for lunch and a 70 minute time limit for dinner. I inquired about it to the hostess. She told me they really did not enforce that rule. On one hand, I understand that time is money and you want folks to eat and go. On the other hand, it is kinda hard core for you even to post something like that. I would had to be continuing looking at my watch going, 'Come on, lets hurry up, they are going to throw us out. ' I was not very hungry, so I ordered a flauta and tortilla soup. It came with a side of refried beans, which was a nice touch. The beans had an amazing flavor to them. The soup was very filling. I appreciated they brought flour tortillas to the table, which were homemade. The fajita meat for the nachos were also very flavorful. I was impressed they used actual cheddar cheese and did not cheap out and try to pass off 'American Cheese ' as authentic. The service was amazing. We were in and out well within our 50 minute time limit. I appreciated the server 's attention to detail. Overall, this is a great little lunch spot to grab lunch or dinner when you are craving Mexican food and are not sure where to go.
I phoned in a to-go for a steak fajita with rice burrito: Very sad experience...... the total cost was almost $20. and the burrito was 90% rice! (I wish I would have taken a photo of it; Thank you for reading this, and thanks for your anticipated instructions to the kitchen on portion control? Regards, JS, I live in the neighborhood.
This was my first visit to Adobe Cafe. I ordered the Tex-Mex #9 and sweet iced tea. The chicken enchilada was fresh, cheesy, and delicious. The crispy taco was fresh, filling, and delicious. The chalupa was fresh, tasty, and delicious. The Mexican rice was moist and tasty. The re-fried beans were creamy and delicious. The sweet tea was just about perfect. The service was fast and friendly. The prices are comparable to other similar restaurants. They have plenty of indoor seating and off-street parking.
Outstanding shrimp tacos, refried beans, rice. Everything. We were hesitant being from out of town, Austin that is, we know good Mexican food because the place had sort of a weird atmosphere not well kept but damn the food was amazing. I've had plenty of good shrimp, but these shrimp or nothing short of spectacular.
I love their beef chimichanga because it is always top notch. I have never had any food at this location it hasn’t been anything but excellent
