Mayte Sweets - New Bern

I'm from out of town and was searching for a local coffee shop to visit. Upon my arrival, the barista warmly welcomed me. I mentioned that it was my first time there and that I wanted a coffee that was sweet yet packed with caffeine. The barista suggested one of their specialty drinks, and when I asked if it could be served iced, he was more than happy to accommodate me. They had a variety of baked goods that not only looked fresh but also quite visually appealing. While I waited for my order, the barista engaged me in friendly conversation and seemed genuinely interested in how my day was going. I highly recommend this place! It has a fantastic atmosphere, excellent service, and the drink recommended by the barista was exactly what I was looking for.

I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday, and while I encountered an issue with the cake being a bit dry, I still plan to give them another try. I understand that mistakes happen, and nobody's perfect.

I hosted a tea party for my mom's birthday here, and they were incredibly accommodating. The desserts and sweets were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the service is very friendly. This is definitely a place everyone should try when visiting the New Bern area!

Cute terrace and caffe! reminds me of our journey to the Swiss, which has a French and Italian influence on their culture. the service, espresso and sweet tasty were delicious! one of the workers even came out to our puppacino (damped milk). he loved it! we will be back and glad that this business in new bern, nc!

Charming, whimsical space with lovely, delicious pastries. I just moved to town and was looking for a little café where I can spend time with my daughter. I love all things French, I did some research and I thought we would try Mayté 's shop. Her croissants are amazing as are her spicy chocolate filled macarons. Brought some home to enjoy.. This lady is a wonderful pastry chef. Staff was friendly as well. We will be back.
