Kitchen On Trent - New Bern

I arrived at 10 a.m. after having a late breakfast, and the staff informed me that breakfast is served until 10:30. Great! I ordered French toast, but then I was told they don’t actually serve breakfast anymore and instead, I could have a sandwich. Excuse me? You just told me breakfast was available two minutes ago. Regardless, I won’t be returning. I tried to support a small business, but I’d rather go to IHOP.

We ordered the ham sandwich and the tomato basil soup.

The staff member seemed to be in a really bad mood while preparing my food, and he was visibly irritated when we arrived close to closing time. What could have been a great sandwich was completely ruined by an overwhelming amount of mustard, which was also the wrong kind. I honestly don’t think I would return if I saw him working there again.

Great service, good food. Different breakfast variations at reasonable prices. We have monthly business meetings and there are always enough seats.

1st time, loved the burnt cheese thing. Was a very small thin piece of bread with lots of cheese. Reminded me of how my mom use to give me the cooked left over cheese from her grill cheese. Was awesome
