David's - New Bedford

The food at David's is always excellent; I’ve never been disappointed during my visits.

I've encountered the same bartender on two occasions, and both times the service was disappointing. It was just me and one other person at the bar, yet the bartender seemed more focused on chatting with her friend than attending to us. I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for a beer, and then an even longer wait to place an order for an appetizer. When my two friends arrived, they also had to wait 15 minutes just to order a beer. It was a frustrating experience. The bartender had tattoos, wore glasses, and was sporting a Patriots jersey.

I really love the food! However, this time I decided to order for pickup and added veggies to my chicken plate, which cost me $17. Unfortunately, there were hardly any veggies in the meal. So, I ordered a separate side of veggies for $10, and what I received was a tiny container of veggie medley. I couldn't believe I paid $10 for such a small portion of veggies. I understand that prices are rising, but $10 for a tiny side of vegetables just seems ridiculous.

Staff is amazing but be careful when ordering. Just because it says it’s stuffed…IT ISNT! Owner said that’s how it comes now ??‍Thank goodness for the service! I will not come back. You just lost a dining customer.

Got the Chicken Mozambique nachos the Portuguese Steak! Everything is clearly homemade, flavorful, absolutely delicious. Was definitely worth the hour drive and I will definitely be going back more than once!
