A few minutes' drive from Neustadt in Saxony, Götzinger Höhe is a popular tourist destination for the Neustädter and its visitors. The height itself offers a lookout tower from the 19th century, which offers an excellent view over the surroundings. Anyone who likes hiking or cycling is right here in the beautiful forest area. The restaurant itself bears the same name as the height and is already available as a restaurant and pension over 120 years. From the outdoor terrace and also from the indoor area, the guest has a remarkable view of New Town and surroundings. The restaurant is highly equipped and has a conservative and very clean appearance. The menu is a mix of classic German cuisine and some other deliciously sounding specialties. I opted for a Saxon Sauer roast with red cabbage and lumps for 12.50 euros the serving. I was very happy and the portion was exactly my case! Tastefully, I found no difference to other local Sauerbread dishes I knew before. The lumps and red cabbage were also homemade and really tastefully a beautiful experience! The restaurant is a good secret tip! Here the guest can dine and drink well. The staff here is very service-oriented and friendly. It became clear to me that there are obviously skilled workers and no help. Everything worked very harmonious! In the entrance area of the restaurant there is a small exhibition on the history of the house and the Götzinger Höhe. Conclusion: Top recommendation for a German restaurant!
A very beautiful inn...super food...class service and a magnificent view. Come back.
