Beau-Rivage - Neuchâtel

Very fancy restaurant with excellent service, but that's about it. The food is just average, typical for 5 stars hotels-overpriced and mediocre.

When one dines around a bit, you get a feeling for what is really good and what by all measure, should be better. To start the evening you are greeted by waitstaff that immediately wheel out a Champagne cart. The choice is too tempting, and...how can one say no. One can choose from a tasting menu of four or five courses, or go a la carte. The food is good, but unfortunately, not great. Management should take a good look at what great, inspired cuisine, really is. Restaurant O 'Terroirs is overpriced.

Ich habe mich heute auf die Terasse gesetzt um das Mittagsmenu zugeniessen !Doch der Chef de Service ,sagte es sei alles reserviert!Nach 1.5 Stunden war die Terasse immer noch leer!!!Ich fühlte mich ziemlich vera....!!!!Mich störte auch ,dass ,das Personal überhaupt kein Deutsch spricht !In einem 5Sternehaus,sehr befremdlich!!!Das Essen war teuer aber mittelmäßig!!!Ich werde dieses Haus nicht weiterempfehlen!!!Schade!!!!

Nice restaurant serving more than correct food. Setting could be a bit cosier but the service is super. We espicially appreciated the beautiful desert. Nice winelist with some very good red Swiss wines.
