Tavola Restaurant - Nepean

Sadly this restaurant is now closed as of mid-Oct 2016. There was not enough clients coming to sustain it despite the great food, reasonable prices and nice ambience. My wife and I miss it and hope. y some chance it will re-open as it was.

I found the staff to be very friendly. I ordered the penne and sausage - even though the penne was a little overcooked, it was tasty (and spicy). The hot buns were a nice touch. There is plenty of room, the decor is nice and the place is clean. I would return if I was going out for supper around that area.

My husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful dinner at This restaurant. We both started with a flavourful tomato basil soup. I then had the roasted salmon and my husband had pasta. All dishes were fresh, hot and prepared perfectly. The value was excellent, especially given the portion size. Their house red was also excellent. Great to find a friendly neighbourhood restaurant with such a varied menu, good service and reasonable prices. Will definitely return!

I ordered the brushetta and the lasagna which were both just okay. Wine was fine. Server was new and did okay for his first day.

I reviewed Tavola three years ago when it was under different management. The new owner/chef appeared last winter. Since then, I have been there numerous times with family and friends over the past six months and we have had very good meals, cheerful service and I find the new configuration of the restaurant to be more convivial. The Italian menu is interesting and delicious. At lunch time, I always have a sandwich because it comes with the best French fries in town.
