Contribuiți la feedbackI've ordered delivery from this restaurant three times, and each time the food has been outstanding. The General Tao Chicken here is the best I've had compared to other Chinese restaurants in Nepean. The egg rolls are hearty and more substantial than most I've tried, the beef with Chinese greens has a delightful ginger kick, and the pepper squid was also superb. It's incredible that such a small establishment can offer such a diverse menu with consistently generous portions!
This was our favorite place to order take-out. Quality has decreased and prices have increased. We're not back. My children used to give the chicken balls, they hardly touched them this time.
Great takeout Chinese food. The selection, flavor, and quality of the dishes is comparable to what my family tends to eat in our typical go to Chinese restaurants. My parents tend to be very picky with quality and they love Brother Chiu's that's how I know it's good ha. Salt and pepper pork/seafood (shrimp, squid) are my favorites, and they do them very well crispy, salty, spicy, and nice, big pieces of meat and seafood. Their fried rice dishes are all cooked with the perfect amount of oil, so that the rice has that perfect texture, not mushy, not clumped. I could go on. If you want more than the typical North American style Chinese food, this is the place to order from.
1. **Thousand-Year Egg and Pork Congee (1/5):** I cannot recommend this dish as it was very bland. Anyone familiar with thousand-year eggs knows that this ingredient deserves more than a basic congee treatment, which doesn’t allow the flavors to blend properly. 2. **Roasted Rice with Chicken and Shrimp in Two Sauces (4/5):** I ordered this on two separate occasions, and the second time, the red sauce looked different—less vibrant than the first. I find it frustrating when food isn’t consistent. 3. **Sweet and Sour Chicken with Pineapple (4/5):** This dish was good on both occasions. However, I suggest that they remove the skin or outer layer of the onions, as they were tough and not pleasant to eat. 4. **Sesame Shrimp with Mayo Sauce (5/5):** I enjoyed this dish, although the mayo was a bit watery at first. After providing feedback, they served the mayo on the side during my next order, which I appreciated! 5. **Deep-Fried Chinese Bread Stick (4/5):** This dish is hard to mess up and brought back a lot of nostalgia for me! It was delicious and crispy, though I think it could use a bit more salt. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I’d definitely recommend giving them a chance! I suggest calling to place your order so that the full amount goes directly to the restaurant instead of using delivery apps.
This is my go-to spot for Chinese food in Barrhaven. They offer a variety of classic Canadian Chinese dishes like egg rolls, sweet and sour pork, and chicken balls. However, I prefer their Chinese dinner combos, which feature more authentic options like salted chicken (similar to Hainan chicken) and salt and pepper pork. The portions are generous—typically, a dinner meant for four can easily provide 3-4 meals for two people. Plus, there's a discount if you pick up your order yourself. Thank you, Brother Chiu's, for always saving the day when I'm too busy to cook!
