Great ambience, very good food and friendly staff. A hike there is definitely recommended, but also those who are not so good to walk can go to the castle by car. From the castle you have a magnificent view of the magnificent nature. The castle offers special programs, where I could not yet participate, because these are constantly booked. If you want to brunch or make a knight's meal there, register early. The prices are absolutely fine for what you get.

We arrived after the hike. Were accompanied to the table at the Burghof. Clear menu and very tasty. Friendly staff and good service. Come back!

We had learned from this castle through a newspaper article and were quite surprised how beautiful and romantic it was there. The small garden behind the castle is worth seeing, the restaurant offers delicious food at small prices and friendly service. We will certainly make a second visit to this castle. Historical place that connects Thuringia and Hesse. Very interesting castle tour. You can go around the castle. Here the cake is baked and served warm. And the hearty food is also recommended. Overall a highly recommended excursion destination.
