The environment is characteristic and original, the cuisine is tasty and refined, the portions are generous, the price is honest. The dishes are fresh, the portions generous. The amatriciana, bruschetta with loin and Roman gnocco (not the potato one! are delicious. Last but not least, the hospitality of the owners, who welcome their guests with a warm and polite friendliness. They don't take reservations, so it's first come, first served. Vegetarian options: Nettle risotto, aubergine parmigiana.
Intrigued by the reviews, including the bacon type, on a rainy and foggy day, we wanted to try this place. Beautiful as soon as you enter, refined and informal, top with the yellow plastic glasses and the water from the spring. Carlo the owner took us on a journey through the flavors and stories of his farm and his top phosphate-free wine. But the crouton with parmigiana and the risotto with nettles won me over. The amatriciana and the tart with quince jam (made by them) are also excellent Vegetarian options: The risotto with nettles and aubergine parmigiana is excellent
The choice to reluctantly insert a negative review for this truthful and welcoming place and to say the least characteristic both for the friendly and genuine owners and for the location, was born from having tarnished one of the cornerstones in the bible of Roman cuisine, namely that of putting bacon instead of bacon in the carbonara, a move that completely changed the flavor of a dish that seemed excellent to the eye. A mistake that perhaps they no longer make even in Milan and its surroundings. I was really disappointed and I even had to start it with the very nice owner. For the rest, excellent choice.
What a fun Italian experience and the best Melanzana . This restaurant has self service and you get plastic yellow cups to get water out of the fountain. I loved it, also sitting in the middle of town Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
