LOVE LOVE THIS BUFFET__And for $25/person, it's a really good deal.

My wife and I eat sushi a lot Every year we come to San Diego for a meeting and come here straight from the airport.

I haven't been to this buffet in quite some time! Onami and Todai were the two rival sushi buffets growing up in San Diego, before the AYCE sushi

The day I visited they were out of chicken, disappointing as it I was the only customer in the place so I couldn't see them being sold from being busy. So I ordered the Mac and cheese with brisket. The brisket was very good but the Mac and cheese was below average and very bland. I also got a side of corn bread muffins ( one of my favorites) they were terribly dry and tasteless, a real disappointment I defitly would not recommend ordering those. I will try them one more time and hopefully get some chicken. Everyone has off days and the day I visited was certainly an off day for them. Better luck next time I hope.

We tried the mixed platter to go. It was really good. The smoked meats are excellent. I'm not a massive fan of corn bread but it was good. I would recommend this restaurant for eat in and take away.
